This is a story within a story. The new owners of Churchill Mansion, Susan Wharram and Paul Jespersen, have begun their own adventure and add to the history of this historic home. A midlife crisis, you ask? Possibly! A lifestyle choice, you ask? Perhaps! But why the need to move to the other side of the country—where they had never been, where they knew no one, when they left behind family and friends, and they took on a project of enormous task (never mind money)?

The answer is simple; they fell in love! Not with each other, as they had sixteen years earlier, but they fell in love with a house, a mansion, an Inn, a town, and a history.

The project of completely restoring and renovating the Mansion to their vision is an enormous task that will continue for years. For opening day, Susan and Paul hope that the guests and the community will be as thrilled by their Churchill Mansion project as they are. It has been a labour of love.

Both Susan and Paul’s children are grown and on their own in various parts of the world. They are very family-oriented and hope that Churchill Mansion becomes a place where families will travel to and share their holidays.

A new adventure begins with Susan, Paul, two English Cocker Spaniels, Zack and Barkley, and a very big old house on a hill. Come join them in writing a new chapter in the history of Churchill Mansion.
